SevenDays® Make a Ripple, Change the World
A Message from Mindy Corporon, Our Founder
The Faith Always Wins Foundation, a 501c3, was established in response to the deaths of my father, William L Corporon MD, my 14-year-old son, Reat Underwood, and the third victim, Terri LaManno, a wife, mother, daughter and sister. They were murdered by a self-proclaimed neo-Nazi, white supremacist who intended to murder Jews on April 13, 2014. Our hope is to bring an end to murders, harassment, terrorism and violence driven by hate.
FAW Mission Statement: promoting dialogue through the betterment of our world through kindness, faith and healing
The SevenDays® Make a Ripple, Change the World event is held annually in the month of April for the purposes of promoting dialogue by engaging all people to discover commonalities and overcome evil with acts of kindness.
*Private and corporate donations are necessary to sustain this community encompassing event.
Tuesday, April 9 – Monday, April 15th, 2019 the SevenDays® events will be hosted at various locations throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area, including the Hindu Temple & Cultural Center, Holy Grace & Trinity Episcopal Church and St. James United Methodist Church. SevenDays® also sponsors three competitions. They are designed to give our youth the opportunity to showcase their talents and share their voice in the conversation of encouraging kindness in our world. Song-Writing, Essay and Button Art competitions are already underway. Together, they provide $15,500 in prize/scholarship funds.
In 2019 we are proud to announce our SevenDays® Cities and SevenDays® Business programs, both of which encourage kindness in our workplaces. Criteria pertaining to how to qualify for these namesakes will be available on our website soon.
